Join us at Sweet River Farm for our homesteading workshop here in Deerfield, NH for a fantastic evening of food, community and skill building with our Fire Cider and Elderberry Workshop! Saturday October 25th, 4 to 6pm About the Workshop: This event is an amazing opportunity for you to discover how to create your own natural remedies to keep those winter colds at bay and tackle other seasonal issues. We will have a grazing table with all farm fresh products. We are known for putting on a pretty great spread for our workshop! Sweet River Farm's, farmhand and our herbal guru, Thea, will eagerly share her knowledge of herbal medicine, detailing the significance of each ingredient in the fire cider and elderberry recipes. You’ll have a blast learning to prepare these natural herbs remedies that will keep you healthy during the chilly months. You will walk away with your very own jar of elderberry syrup and fire cider to help boost your immune system this winter. By signing up, you're also supporting our small farm, committed to sustainability and community. This workshop is a wonderful way to connect with like-minded individuals, share stories, and forge new friendships. We have also been told our workshops make an excellent date night! We can't wait to welcome you to Sweet River Farm. Cost covers all the materials, just bring yourself and a notebook! Class size will be a maximum of 15 participants. Age limit: 15 + What to wear and expect: The workshop will be held inside in our barn or outside under tents if weather permits. We recommend wearing appropriate attire for a barn and dress in layers as we will not be in a heated or air-conditioned environment. We welcome you to pet our cows and goats, closed toed shoes are required to be around the animals. We have free ranging chickens, loud geese, drooly cows that like to lick, animal noises and barn birds. If any of this doesn't sound enjoyable this class might not be for you and that's okay. We aren't for everyone!


Cancellation Policy

Cancelations will not be refunded. Cancelations made within 24 hours of scheduled class are transferable to a future class of your choice. Cancelations without 24-hour notice or No-Shows will result in a forfeiture of your payment and will be considered a donation to our farm. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class/workshop at any time. If a class/workshop is canceled by us, you will be fully refunded. If the class/workshop is rescheduled, you will be contacted with the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, we will happily transfer your class/workshop to any of our classes of lesser or equal value or charge you the difference for a higher priced class/workshop. Weather- Classes/workshops that fall on days with inclement weather will be rescheduled to a later date.
