Farm News, Workshop Coupon, Homemade Mayo. I am thoroughly enjoying my wintering and limited exposure to the outside world and technology. Somedays I feel as though I have stepped back in time!
Hello Farm Friends,
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the slower pace of winter. I am thoroughly enjoying my wintering and limited exposure to the outside world and technology. Somedays I feel as though I have stepped back in time!
The slower pace of life on the farm this winter is a double-edged sword, this is our first winter that we are not milking in well over a decade. In one sense it's a blessing, especially in the cold we have been having, but on the other hand we have nothing to sell. Our farm stand is sparse at best, and it has been a lesson for me in trusting God and keeping faith. I have new appreciation for seasonal farmers and how hard it is to survive the winter. I encourage you to go buy a CSA share from a small farm near you! It's the best way to help these hardworking farmers.
I want to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who has signed up and booked our spring classes! This has been a tremendous help getting us through this lean time. I am so appreciative of your support and your interest in learning new skills.
This is the last week to use your $10.00 off coupon. If you are planning to sign up for a workshop this is a great time to do it!
With gratitude,
Jon & Angie

Homemade Mayo Recipe on the Blog
With the days starting to get longer soon the chickens will be laying more eggs. Here is my recipe for homemade mayonnaise. I haven't bought mayo for eons, it's simple to make and it lasts weeks if not a month or two in the refrigerator.
