Service Description

At Sweet River Farm, we offer a hands-on canning workshop where you can safely learn to water bath can on the homestead. Angie will guide you through the process, ensuring that you gain the skills and confidence you need to preserve your own fruits and vegetables. Join us for a fun and educational experience at Sweet River Farm. Cost covers all the materials, just bring yourself and an apron! Class size will be a maximum of 5 participants. Age limit: 15 + What to wear and expect: The workshop will be held inside in of our barn or inside our kitchen if weather and flies aren't cooperating. We recommend wearing appropriate attire for a barn and dress in layers as we will not be in a heated or air-conditioned environment. We welcome you to pet our cows and goats, closed toed shoes are required to be around the animals. We have free ranging chickens, loud geese, drooly cows that like to lick, animal noises and barn birds. If any of this doesn't sound enjoyable this class might not be for you and that's okay. We aren't for everyone! Cancellations: Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours prior to the workshop start time in order to receive a refund. Cancelations without 24 hour notice will result in a forfeiture of your payment and will be considered a donation to our farm. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop at any time. If this happens you will be fully refunded.
